Where have you gone, Sufjan?

So with just one week left until departure, I have been fervently searching through one-hundred and sixty gigs of music to choose who can accompany me in a two gig mp3 player....

I think I have a good list going, obviously some Beatles, my recent obsession with Modest Mouse, some Akron, some Imogen, Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance, Amadou & Mariam, Gorillaz's Demon Days album, and of course, Mr. Sufjan Stevens.

That being said, I began to think about Sufjan and remember a little promise he had made when Illinois came out... I believe it was that he was looking to make an album about each of the fifty states. After Illinois, the rumor was Rhode Island (I might have even heard Jersey get thrown in there).

Anyway, no pressure Sufy, but thats a big accomplisment and I haven't heard anything from you in a while. I'll get to the point -

I don't care what your next album, song, or single is about - I just want to hear more of your music! Put out another Enjoy Your Rabbit for all I care, I love that album. Or even a hard rock metal album, I don't need to hear a whismical guitar or banjo! (Although your whismical style is comforting and genius.)

If you happen to stumble upon this Sufjan, we're all waiting. Anxiously. With open ears. And as for me, I'll pay good money... so lets make it happen.
